World Bank and The Economist Intelligence Unit in their 2018 Global Liveability Index ranked Lagos State as 3rd worse city for humans to live in the world.

140 cities are considered for the ranking and Lagos ranked 138.

Our Lagos – The New York of Nigeria, is just better than Dhaka in Bangladesh and Damascus in war-torn Syria for human habitation.

This, however, was a slight improvement from the 2017 ranking, where the country was ranked 139th out of 140 cities on the index.

Austria’s capital, Vienna, ranks as the most liveable of the 140 cities surveyed by The Economist Intelligence Unit, while Melbourne, an Australian city, is the 2nd most liveable place in the world.
