    F. R. Williams was born on 16 December, 1920 in Lagos.

    He earned his first degree in law in 1942 and was called to bar in 1943 at the Gray’s Inn, London

    Williams Rotimi was involved in some unforgatable and important cases like Lakanmi Vs Western Government of Nigeria, which set the precedent that a military government could not use its power to make laws that will appropriate an individual property.

    He was also part of a group of lawyers that stood for the Oba of Lagos, Adeniji Adele against challenges by the Nigerian National Democratic Party.

    F. R. Williams is the first Nigerian SAN.

    He died on 26 March, 2005 at age 84.
